Buy local! I am a big supporter of local Farmers' Markets. They are usually small family owned businesses that many people depend on to support their families. Not only that, it also supports our community as well. Here are some reasons why I am so passionate about this!
- eating local is better for our health, we know where it's coming from - think e coli and salmonella.
- buying local is better for our local economy (it helps keep the money in our own backyards).
- buying local is better for our local farmers (no explanation needed).
So next time you go food shopping consider going to your local Farmers' Market! If you do, everyone wins!
