Whole Wheat Pasta

If you want a perfect meal to eat during the day before your workout, I recommend a bowl of whole wheat pasta.

Whole wheat pasta contains two to three times more fiber than white pasta. It also contains more protein and the added benefits of riboflavin, niacin, and folic acid. Whole wheat pasta digests slower than regular pasta, keeping you fuller for longer periods of time. This helps you stay satisfied while trying to maintain a healthy weight or if you are trying to lose weight, because it can help curb cravings by keeping you feeling full.

If you don't fancy the taste of whole wheat pasta, I suggest trying various varieties until you find one you like. "I like the thin spaghetti pasta, it is very mild and after you add the sauce it tastes the same as regular pasta to me."
